kent woodturners

Set in the beautiful atmospheric grounds of the Friars in Aylesford, the Kent Woodturners (part of the kent branch of the AWGB) use one of the buildings for there monthy meetings and turning demonstrations. This month it was my "turn" (excuse the pun), and following an extensive list of established turners who had given demonstrations in the previous months, i was a little nervous to be standing in front of the wealth of experience that was present in the room.

Demonstrations

This weekend i will be demonstrating at Kent wood turners club in Aylesford, Kent. Following the sucess of the demonstrations at Alexander Palace earlier in the year i have been visiting woodturning clubs around the country hoping to get turners inspired by the use of mixed media applications in turning. Demonstrations can last anything from a few hours to a full day day and equipment can be supplied. cup cake stands

I've just finished a new range of bespoke cup cake stands for Angel cakes by Virginia Valentine. There are 6 different sizes of the laminated acrylic stands in various colours. The stands can be made to order for weddings, birthdays or any other special occasions and prices start at £40. These ones are topped with my mums georgeous cup cakes which are yummy!!!

Forthcoming shows

As well as Origin, later on this year i will be exhibiting at two other major selling shows in the UK, The Eco Design show, Liverpool and Lustre, Nottingham.

As part of the Liverpool Design Festival The Eco Design Show will feature interior products, ceramics, furniture, lighting, jewellery and fashion from established designers and up and coming young designers.

As well as displaying will how energy efficiency, care for the environment, consumption of resources and use of materials shape and affect design practice, the show will offer a unique shopping opportunity, bringing together up to 30 British based designers.
